1.Andrea has been working with G for a couple of months now, I can’t remember the exact date. He is very reluctant but Andrea is great with him. She is very kind and patient. She is always well prepared and works with him at the appropriate level, planning lessons and ‘jobs’ that interest him. Andrea is flexible and will try to accommodate time that work for us, she ensures the sessions are a mixture of educational games and ‘jobs’ that he has to complete, she understands that he can become dysregulated and responds appropriately. 🙂

The involvement of the Nurture Teacher, Jan, has been extremely positive. She has taken the time to understand my son’s needs and has approached him in a calm, supportive, and appropriate manner.

This has made a noticeable difference in how he engages and has been invaluable in helping him prepare for high school, build his confidence, and most importantly identify academic gaps quickly. She has already made significant progress in helping him to address these gaps and begin rebuilding his educational journey following what was a traumatic and inappropriate educational experience.

It is clear that this type of support is essential and highlights how important the right environment and approach are for children with similar needs.

More broadly, our experience has shown how vital it is for this level of support to be implemented early and consistently, as delays or gaps can have a significant impact on a child’s wellbeing and access to education.

As a family, we are incredibly grateful that our son finally has the appropriate professional support in place.
